PRE-GAME SEQUENCE
Monday-Friday Time Schedule
:45 Minutes before first games of the session:
Coin toss. Coaches meet with IGHSAU officials at flagpole in center of complex. Line-up cards must be submitted at this meeting. A school not represented at the coin toss will be declared the loser of the toss.
:10 Minutes before first games of the session:
Coaches meet on the field with umpires to cover ground rules.
:05 minutes before first games of the session:
Introduction of starting line up (starters only). When announced, players proceed to pitchers plate and form a line from the plate to either first or third base (toward the teamıs dugout). Players and coaches not announced are to remain off the field.
:02 minutes before first games of the session -- National Anthem
Following National Anthem -- First pitch
Coin toss for games two and three of the session will be held at the flagpole in the center of the complex once the previous game on the field reaches the bottom of the 3rd inning. A school not represented at the coin toss will be declared the loser of the toss.
Games two and three introductions will begin approximately 10 minutes following the previous game. Introduction of starting line up (starters only). When announced, players proceed to pitchers plate and form a line from the plate to either first or third base (toward the teamıs dugout). Players and coaches not announced are to remain off the field.
**Friday Afternoon Session Only
Friday afternoon session coin toss for 4:30 p.m. game on Diamond 2 will be held at 3:45 p.m. with ground rule meeting held at 4:20 p.m., introductions at 4:25 p.m. and National Anthem at 4:28 p.m. Coin toss for 5:00 p.m. game on Diamond 1 will be held at 4:15 p.m., ground rule meeting on the field at 4:50 p.m., with introduction at 4:55 p.m. No National Athem will precede the Diamond 1 game.
Subsequent games will follow the protocol indicated above.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All warm-up must be inside the diamond fences. Do not throw in spectator area.
All batting practice will be on the baseball or other softball diamonds or dormitory practice field. No infield on game diamond. Warm-up on game diamonds will be on the grass surfaced areas only. Infield can be taken on any of the practice diamonds. Teams scheduled for the next game on Diamond #1 and Diamond #2 will have preference on the warm-up diamonds. There will be 10-15 minutes between games.
Dugout assignment -- top listed team on the first base line, bottom team is in the third base dugout.
Awards presentations after each Championship and 3rd place game.
First batter of each half inning will be in her on-deck circle until called to the batter's box by the umpire. The coach must be headed towards the dugout after the fifth warm-up pitch and throw to second, between innings.
A maximum of 18 players are to be in uniform inside the complex.
Immediately upon conclusion of your game, remove equipment from the dugout so the next teamıs can prepare for their game.
Pitchers 100 game achievers and Hall of Fame will be presented Thursday evening on Diamond 1 between games two and three. Parade of teams involving those finishing 5th-8th in each class will be presented Friday evening on Diamond 1 between games two and three.
