Rankings Posted Every Thursday: Basketball rankings will likely be released every Thursday. Look for the next set rankings to be released December 4.

SEND IN YOUR SCORES: Once again, I will be posting a score list during the week. E-mail your scores to Jason Eslinger at jasoneslinger@ighsau.org. Please be sure to include your teamÕs record with each score and feel free to include any noteworthy stats from your games. ALSO: Please add the Associated Press to your list of people to report scores to. The AP does a national score list and is tracking all Iowa High School girls and boys scores. Please call the APÕs 800 number (800-300-8340) after all of your contests.

Coaches Required to Use QuikStats:  All coaches are reminded that they are required to post their basketball statistics online at www.quikstatsiowa.com. There will be two checkpoints where statistics must be up to date.  The first deadline is Monday, January 5. The final check date is Monday, February 2. The first offense for missing these deadlines is a letter that will be sent to the coach, athletic director, principal and superintendent. The second offense will result in the coach being suspended from coaching in the postseason. If you have any problems or questions with QuikStats, please e-mail Jason Eslinger at jasoneslinger@ighsau.org.

Site Availabilities Now On the Website: The first list of schools that have made its gyms available for regional tournaments has been posted and can be viewed by clicking here. If you are not listed, but would like to be considered as a regional host, please fill out the online site availability form. This list will be updated periodically before pairings are released.

Pairings: As opposed to previous years and due to the late start of the season, basketball pairings will be released the week of January 9th.

Check the website: The IGHSAU website is the best way to check basketball-related news. The basketball home page is the best place to look at scores, schedules, news and rankings. The first basketball memo was published on the site today as well as the rankings.
