QuikStats Update: As of Friday – 102 schools have put stats in the QuikStats program. I know it is early, but I’d like to see more schools using the system. QuikStats is the official clearlinghouse for state-wide stats. We have put together a new feature in the access section of the site where you can now look at other teams box scores for a particular games.

We are working on the speed issues – apparently the system gets bogged down when a number of users are accessing the site at the same time. Please remember – if you need help or have problems, call or e-mail me and I’ll be glad to help you .

On the subject of stats: In looking at the stats that have been submitted – it looks like there are a discrepancies with put-outs and assists, particularly in situations that involve strikeouts. Remember: the catcher gets credit for the put-out whenever there is a strikeout (unless there is a dropped third strike). Also: remember that a batter that reaches on a fielder’s choice or on an error should NOT be awarded with a hit. Those situations should be recorded just like you would record an out and the batter should be credited with an at-bat.
