Courtney Crandell goal with 45 seconds remaining in regulation propelled Des Moines Roosevelt into the state championship match with a 1-0 victory over Iowa City High.

Crandell took a ball from Meggie Malm and dribbled in for the lone goal of the match. Both teams were evenly matched. Roosevelt outshot Iowa City High 17-16. Iowa City High goalkeeper EB Slouka stopped nine shots while Roughrider goalie Racheal Witosky stopped eight.

Des Moines Roosevelt (16-2) faces top-ranked Urbandale in the championship match. The two teams did not during the regular season.l

Iowa City West falls to 17-2 and faces Iowa City West in the sonsolation at 2:30 this afternoon.
