Class 1A's lone unbeaten team advanced to the Class 1A state semifinals for the second-straight year as third-ranked Pella topped Sioux City Heelan, 2-0 in first round action at the Iowa Girls State Soccer Tournament in Muscatine.

Amanda Miller started the scoring for the Lady Dutch 27 minutes into the first half. Pella added another goal in the second half when Paige Nelson scored with 16:05 remaining in the match.

Pella outshot the Crusaders, 16-4.

Pella, 18-0, advances to the Class 1A semifinals to face defending 1A champion Cedar Rapids Xavier at 4:15 p.m. Friday.

Sioux City Heelan ends its season at 10-6.
