Elise Reid scored two goals to lead third-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy to its first-ever trip to the Class 2A championship with a 2-1 victory over Mississippi Valley Conference rival Iowa City West. The win also avenged a 3-2 regular season loss to the Women of Troy during the regular season.

Reid's first goal was gave the Cougars 23 minutes into the match and added her second goal in the 58^th minute of the match.

Gabby Ainsworth scored Iowa City West's only goal on a free kick with three minutes remaining in the match. Cedar Rapids Kennedy outshot the Women of Troy 20-13.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy (17-2) faces top-ranked West Des Moines Valley in the Class 2A championship match Saturday at 1 p.m. Iowa City West ends its season at 14-5.
