Cedar Rapids Xavier 6, Norwalk 1

Bailey Dorrington and Morgan Showalter both scored three goals to lead top-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier to a 6-1 victory over No. 10 Norwalk in Class 1A first round action at the Girls State Soccer Tournament in Muscatine.

The Saints (19-0) jumped out early with Dorrington scoring the match's first goal eight minutes into the contest with Showalter following at the 17 minute mark.

Norwalk narrowed the gap to 2-1on a Katie Patava goal before the Saints scored four unanswered goals to put the match out of reach.

Xavier dominated the match – outshooting the Warriors, 17-4. Suzy Levett assisted on four Saint goals.

Cedar Rapids Xavier faces sixth-ranked Waukee in the Class 1A semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. Norwalk ends its season at 14-6.
