Waukee overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit to tie the score four minutes into the second half on a goal from Kara Knott. The Warriors ended the game when Gruis scored on an assist from Steph Whitmer.
Pella scored its only goals when Sarah Schuring converted a penalty kick.
Pella outshot Waukee, 8-5, in the contest. Waukee goalkeeper Karly Stanley had seven saves while Tressa Ver Steeg added five for Pella.
Waukee improves to 15-4-1 and faces top-ranked Cedar Rapids Xavier in the Class 1A semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. Pella ends its season at 15-5.
