Deb Foss' goal with 1:30 left in the first overtime lifted West Des Moines Valley to the Class 2A championship match with a 2-1 victory over second-ranked Bettendorf.

The third-ranked Tigers advance to their third state championship match, where they will face Urbandale 3 p.m. this afternoon.

Valley had to rally to get to the title game. Bettendorf scored the match's first goal when Leslie Sullivan sent a 20 yard crossing shot into the back of the WDM Valley net 17 minutes into the match.

West Des Moines Valley tied the score with eight minutes remaining in regulation when Ashley Sumner scored on an unassisted goal.

West Des Moines Valley improves 19-1 while Bettendorf falls to 17-3.
