Norwalk senior Julie Van Dike scored three goals while teammate Mallory Risbeck added two to lead the fourth-ranked Warriors to the Class 1A championship match with a 6-0 rout over Waterloo Columbus/Don Bosco.

Norwalk, making its state tournament debut, will face defending champion Davenport Assumption in the championship match.

Waterloo Columbus, who upset top-ranked Gilbert in first round action, were overpowered by Norwalk. Krista Obley started the scoring for the Warriors with a goal at the 18 minute mark. Norwalk then scored two quick goals before the end of the first half. Risbeck knocked in her first goal with five minutes remaining while Van Dike scored her first goal of the day two minutes later.

Van Dike added two quick goals in a two minute span early in the second half before Risbeck closed the scoring with a goal with three minutes remaining in the match.

Norwalk takes an 18-4 record into this afternoon's championship match while Waterloo Columbus falls to 17-3 and faces Sioux City Heelan in the consolation match.
