West Des Moines Valley had seven different players score to lead top-ranked West Des Moines Valley to an 8-0 victory over Marshalltown in Class 2A first round action at the Girls State Soccer Tournament Thursday.

Mary Kenney had two goals to lead the defending champs, who outshot the Bobcats, 28-1.

The Tigers improve to 19-0 and face Iowa City West in the Class 2A semifinals Friday at 6:15 p.m. Marshalltown, making its state tournament debut, ends its season at 8-7.
