Filing of Statistics Mandatory Beginning in 2008-09

At its June 18 meeting, the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Board of Directors voted unanimously to mandate the filing of statistics online for volleyball, swimming and diving, basketball and softball beginning with the 2008-2009 school year.

Member schools must use the online QuikStats Iowa website to file statistics for volleyball, basketball and softball. Swimming & Diving coaches must use the online power point sheets found in the swimming section of the IGHSAU website.

There will be two mandatory reporting dates. Failure to report statistics by the first reporting date will result in a reminder letter sent to the coach, athletic director, principal and superintendent. Failure to submit statistics by the final reporting date will result in the head coach being suspended from coaching in the IGHSAU postseason tournament series.

Tentative Reporting Dates for 2008-2009:

Volleyball: 1^st Check: Monday, September 15; Final Check: Monday, October 13

Swimming: 1^st Check: Monday, September 22; Final Check: Monday, October 20

Basketball: 1^st Check: Monday, January 5; Final Check: Monday, February 2

Softball: 1^st Check: Monday, June 1; Final Check: Monday, June 29
