2009 TRACK AND FIELD CHANGES

In high school, Girls’ 100 Meter Hurdles and Shuttle Hurdle Relay will use 33 inch hurdles. Girls’ 400 Hurdles will continue to use 30 inch hurdles. Junior High will remain using 30 inch hurdles.

District/Regional Track Meets for all classes will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009. (Subject to approval by IHSAA Board of Control)

At the District/Regional Meet, the mandatory break following the boys’ 3200 Meter run has been expanded from 30 to 45 minutes. (Subject to approval by IHSAA Board of Control).

FAT timing may be used at the District/Regional Meet with a .24 second deduction. (Subject to approval by IHSAA Board of Control).

At District/Regional Meet---will score and medal eight places in all events. (Subject to approval by IHSAA Board of Control). Girls who finish in the top eight places will be eligible to qualify for the State Meet among the next best finishers in all classes.
