2007 Iowa State Volleyball Tournament

Class 1A First Round – Thursday, November 8

Manning 25-25-25, North Sentral Kossuth 21-23-12

Bailey and Becky Halbur combined for 22 kills and nine blocks to lead fifth-ranked Manning past No. 4 North Sentral Kossuth, 3-0, in Class 1A first round action at the Iowa State Volleyball Tournament in Cedar Rapids.

The Bulldogs made life miserable for the Eagles at the net, forcing North Sentral Kossuth into 23 attack errors while Manning had 16 blocks.

In addition to the strong matches from the Halburs, Manning also received nine kills and five blocks from Mc Kaylie Croghan.

North Sentral Kossuth was led by Kelsey Albers’ 11 kills.

Manning advances to Friday’s 1A semifinals at 6:00 p.m. North Sentral Kossuth ends its year at 39-6.
