2007 Iowa State Volleyball Tournament

Wapsie Valley 16-25-25-25, New London 25-13-15-12

Wapsie Valley will shoot for its second-straight Class 1A title Saturday as the Warriors topped New London, 3-2, in the Class 1A State Volleyball semifinals.

The win sets up a rematch of last year’s Class 1A title game with Holy Trinity Catholic at 4:30 Saturday afternoon. The Warriors won last year’s title in an exciting five-game title match.

Kamille Van Natta led Wapsie Valley with 17 kills and nine blocks while Carly Wehling added 10 kills. The Warriors were especially stingy at the net, recording 27 blocks and forcing New London into 27 attack errors.

New London was led by Murphye Olsen’s 15 kills while Maggie Miller added 11. The Tigers end their season at 33-7.
