Class 2A Quarterfinals – Thursday, November 8

Pella Christian 25-25-25, Red Oak 22-16-18

Janna Van Zanten had 13 kills and seven digs to lead Pella Christian into the Class 2A semifinals with a 3-0 victory over Red Oak in first round play at the Iowa State Volleyball Tournament in Cedar Rapids.

The Eagles dominated the net, forcing Red Oak into 26 hitting errors while hitting .275. Pella Christian also served up 10 aces.

Red Oak was led by Alex Hanna’s 13 kills.

Pella Christian advances to face Dike-New Hartford in the 2A semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Friday. Red Oak ends its year at 31-6.
