Sioux City Heelan 20-18-25-25-15, West Delaware 25-25-17-21-12

It was déjà vu for Sioux City Heelan. In an eerie repeat of last year’s 3A championship game, the Crusaders found themselves down two games to zero to top-ranked West Delaware and, again, Heelan rallied to a 3-2 victory to advance to the 3A championship match Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.

The defending champs received 20 kills and 17 digs from Kayla Karpuk while Mindy Moody and Carli Tritz added 14 and 12 respectively. Emily Heffernen recorded 23 kills with 12 digs to lead West Delaware, who ends its season at 42-5.
