Another day, another five set match. For the fourth consecutive match, Cedar Falls went down to the wire and, for the fourth consecutive time, prevailed. The sixth-ranked Tigers advanced to the Class 4A title match for the second-straight year by stunning top-ranked Ankeny, 3-2.

The fifth game was a classic as both teams had match point opportunities before the Tigers took game five, 21-19.

Ankeny was paced by Hannah JohnsonÕs 17 kills  while Johanna Ruff added 12, Chelsey Semprini added 13 and Cathleen Andresen had 10. This was the first five-game match of the season for the Hawkettes, whose only loss against Iowa opponents during the regular season was a set-back to Western Christian.

Cedar Falls will play in the 4A title game at noon Saturday. Ankeny ends its season at 35-4.
