Coaches: Send in your scores: There will be daily score list on the IGHSAU website during the volleyball season. Coaches may e-mail their scores to Jason Eslinger at jasoneslinger@ighsau.org. Please include your overall match record when you e-mail your game scores. Also, feel free to include any significant highlights or milestones that may have occurred in your match. I can’t guarantee every highlight will be posted but I will do my best.

Stats are Mandatory! A reminder that coaches are required to have their statistics updated on the QuikStats Iowa website. If you haven’t received your QuikStats password from your AD, please let me know and I will look it up for you. There will be two reporting deadlines where statistics are expected to be updated. The first report deadline is Monday, September 22. The final deadline is Monday, October 13. Failure to meet these deadlines will result in a letter being sent to the coach, athletic director, principal and superintendent for the first offense. The second offense will result in the head coach being ineligible to coach in the post season.

The time commitment with Quik Stats is noted and understandable. We are not requiring that head coaches be the only one to update the stats on the site. Assistant coaches or computer-savvy managers or students may also update stats. One new option with QuikStats that should alleviate the time commitment is that there is now a cumulative stat option. Using this option enables the user to put in the team’s cumulative stat totals, instead of match-by-match totals. If you have any trouble with the system, please don’t hesitate to call.

Double-Check Site Availabilities: Also posted today is the current list of schools that have made their gyms available for regional volleyball matches. If your school is not listed, but you would like it to be, contact your AD and have them fill out the online form as soon as possible. You can view the current list by clicking here.

New Rankings Every Thursday: The goal is to have new rankings out every Thursday afternoon. The next rankings will be released September 11.

Check the Volleyball Site Daily: Any information that pertains to volleyball will be posted on the IGHSAU website and the volleyball page immediately. Coaches are advised to check the site daily for new information.
