Sioux City Bishop Heelan 25-25-21-25, Dubuque Wahlert 21-20-25-20


Natalie VondrakÕs 21 kills powered Sioux  City Bishop Heelan into the Class 3A championship as the Crusaders knocked off top-ranked Dubuque Wahlert 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20 in the Class 3A semifinals Friday afternoon.


Bishop Heelan (46-11) will seek its fourth title in school history and the first since 2007 Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and will play Waverly-Shell Rock or Union.


Vondrak, who has signed to play volleyball at Iowa State, had 21 kills, five blocks and 17 digs in the contest.


Dubuque Wahlert, who was making its record 29th state tournament appearance, was led by Amy IhmÕs 20 kills and 27 digs. The Golden Eagles end their season with a 30-9 mark.
