CLASS 1A QUARTERFINALS

Galva-Holstein 3, Farragut 2

Galva-Holstein used a balanced attack to advance to the Class 1A semifinals with a 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11 victory over Farragut.

Four players had six or more kills for the third-ranked Pirates, led by Emily Schlinz' 14 kills and 21 digs. Kelli Beyer added 12 while Ashley McGuire had 29 digs.

Kiki Wilson led Farragut with 24 kills and 14 digs.

Galva-Holstein advances to the Class 1A semifinals Friday at 7:15 p.m.
