Top-ranked Aplington-Parkersburg advanced to the Class 2A title game for the second straight year as the Falcons topped fifth-ranked Hinton 25-18, 25-13, 25-21 in a 2A semifinal match Friday night in Cedar Rapids.

Aplington-Parkersburg had three players reach double figures in kills with Kasey Huisman leading the way with 11. Becky Walters and Megan Schipper each added 10 for the Falcons, who enjoyed a hitting efficiency of .364. Allyssa Eickholt led Hinton with eight kills.

Aplington-Parkersburg faces Western Christian or Red Oak in the Class 2A championship match at 6:15 Saturday night.
