Third-ranked Cedar Falls survived a grueling five game match with eighth-ranked West Des Moines Valley, eeking out a 25-22, 19-25, 28-26, 23-25, 15-13 victory.

The match saw two evenly-matched teams wage a five game battle that lasted two hours, six minutes. Cedar Falls' Kali Karsten led the Tigers with 22 kills, 20 digs and five blocks. Teammates Abby Mohlis and Nina Savage added 21 and 13 kills, respectively.

West Des Moines Valley had three players reach double figures in kills, led by Laura Cushing's 13.
