CLASS 4A SEMIFINALS

Ankeny 3, Cedar Falls 1

Defending champion Ankeny marched into the Class 4A finals for the third consecutive year with a 25-16, 13-25, 25-22, 25-11 victory over third-ranked Cedar Falls Friday.

The Hawkette one-two punch of Sarah Oexmann and Shannon Aschoff proved too much for the Tigers. Aschoff knocked 18 kills with two blocks while Oexmann added 14 kills. Abby Mohlis and Nina Savage both had eight kills to lead Cedar Falls.

Ankeny will face Bettendorf or Ames in the Class 4A final Saturday at 1:15 p.m.
